Dropped at the same time as her brand new release, the simply titled EP2, experimentally-inclined pop artist BUFFEE shares a whimsical video for 'ANVIL'. Directed by Manu Mactaggart, the clip portrays nature as magical, powerful and ominous, much like the track it accompanies. Opening slow and sparse, like a flower opening its petals in the morning, BUFFEE's ethereal vocals float in an ambient space before gradually becoming more avant-garde with the inclusion of choppy samples and whirring layers of distortion. A hard electronic beat takes 'ANVIL' somewhere darker and edgier than first expected, placing the yearning vocal melodies in an entirely new context.
